Haryana to Build South Asia’s Largest Drone Manufacturing Hub in Hisar

With new programs centered on manufacturing, innovation, and training, Haryana has declared a significant effort to position itself as a leader in drone technology. The state demonstrated its dedication to developing a trained workforce for the future of unmanned aerial systems on Monday by awarding certificates to 252 drone pilots and 136 drone technicians at a convocation ceremony.

In the Hisar district’s Sisai village, the state is establishing India’s first Drone Manufacturing Technology Hub. When it’s up and running, it will be the biggest facility of its kind in South Asia, providing cutting-edge infrastructure for drone training, repair, and manufacturing. It is anticipated that the hub will draw investments, generate employment, and quicken the uptake of drones in important industries like logistics, defense, and agriculture.

Five recently created drones for the military were virtually launched as part of the event, and an agricultural drone pavilion was opened to highlight advancements for the farming industry. These initiatives are a reflection of Haryana’s goal to incorporate drone technology into contemporary farming methods and defense readiness, two fields in which unmanned aerial vehicles are becoming more and more important.

As India continues to rise in the world economy, officials stressed that the state’s advancements in drone innovation are closely linked to the country’s overall economic trajectory. Haryana is establishing itself as a center for drone production, research, training, and widespread deployment by emphasizing technology-driven growth.

Haryana is setting the stage for becoming a leader in India’s quickly growing drone ecosystem with a trained workforce that has recently received official certification and a manufacturing hub in the works.
